1. MAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT

LANGUAGE: Simultaneous EN-SL-EN interpretation will be organised for plenary sessions, as well as certain parallel sections.

PLATFORM TO JOIN THE EVENT:
You will be able to join the event via Zoom. Download the free Zoom application and install it. Installation instructions are provided below (item 2). Should you encounter issues during the installation or activation of the application, you can contact the following persons for help:

TO USE ZOOM, YOU NEED:
1. A computer or any other device (smartphone/tablet).
2. Good internet connection.
3. Headphones with a microphone.


ACCESSING THE PROGRAM:

After you have registered for the event, you will be able to access the lectures via the congress website (https://6mkmis.com).
The website contains the icon ”Lecture Room”. Once you click on the icon, the program will require you to log in with your E-mail and password that you entered when you registered for the congress. The program will then place you into a lecture room and you will be able to listen to the lecture. The Zoom environment will allow you to choose a language in which you wish to listen to the lectures, as well as choosing either the parallel section 1 or parallel section 2 during the afternoon lectures.


CHOOSING THE LANGUAGE AND PARALLEL SECTION

Select ”Interpretation” in the application and choose your language (Slovenian or English). To choose a parallel section, select ”Breakout Room” and choose either Parallel section 1 or Parallel section 2.

 

 

NOTE!
Login to the lecture room at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the congress on 11 March 2021 and 15 minutes prior to the start of lectures on 12 March 2021.

 

LECTURE RECORDINGS:
Following the congress, choosing the icon ”Congress records – view” will allow you to re-view the recordings of either the full congress or parts of it. Access to recordings is also linked to your e-mail address and password that you entered during the
registration process.

2. INSTALLING THE ZOOM APPLICATION

NOTE!
We suggest you install the platform at least one day prior to the event!

STEP ONE

Visit https://zoom.us/download and choose the big blue button under ”Zoom Client for Meetings” with ”Download” written on it. Click it and the download should commence.

STEP TWO

The download of the ”ZOOMINSTALLER.EXE” file should be visible in the lower left corner of the browser. Click it.

If the file does not open, open the file with the same name in your ”Downloads” folder.

When the file opens, a window will pop up (image below). Choose ”Join a meeting”.

If the window does not pop up, use the app’s menu and click on the blue “+” icon with the word ”Join” written below it.

3. LINK TO ZOOM VIA THE BROWSER

STEP ONE

As stated under point 1 above, you can access the program via the website.

When you click on the link, the website will load and a request will be made to install or open the ”Zoom” application. Click ”Cancel”.

STEP TWO

There are two links under the big blue button titled ”Launch Meeting”. Click the one farthest down, titled ”Join from your Browser”.

STEP THREE

Enter your name and surname and mark the option under the entry field. Then choose ”Join” to join the event.

3. Headphones with a microphone

How to ask a question?
The lower part of the application contains the Q&A button. Click it and a window should pop up in which you may ask a question for the speaker. Please state the name and surname of the person you wish to receive the answer to your question from.
If you wish to join the discussion by speaking, choose the ”Raise hand” button and the moderator will let you speak. Please make sure you have a working/active microphone.

SOME TIPS AND WARNINGS

1. Due to the duration of the congress, we suggest you have your devices powered at all times.
2. The congress will be recorded throughout the event and the recordings will be available after the congress.
3. Participation will be reviewed after the congress, which is a pre-requisite to obtain credits and award participation certificates. We therefore suggest you are always present and logged into the Zoom application during the congress. After you have filled out the questionnaire on the congress website, you will be given the option to print your participation certificate and access the Book of Abstracts and congress recordings.
